Bristol International Acro Cup 2024

27th/28th January 2024 - Bristol International Acrobatic Cup 

The last weekend of January saw our first Acrobatic Competition for 2024, and what a start it was! Five of our FIG Gymnasts travelled down to compete at the prestigious Bristol International Acro Cup. Joining some of the UK best clubs and clubs from Ireland, Portugal, Germany and Sweden. 

Saturday was qualifications day for both our Mixed Pair and Women's Group, performing both of their routines hoping to gain a place in the finals. 

First up was Chloe, Megan and Jess who unfortunately had an uncharacteristic fall early on in their balance routine. That didn't stop the girls though, pure grit and determination in their second routine resulting in them winning the dynamic round and deservingly pushed into the top six, and through to finals!

Ben and Chloe were next to compete, performing two clean routines and joining the trio in the final. 

The second day of the competition our five Gymnasts showed up

 with intention to succeed, both competing two strong dynamic routines, showing the judging panel what they are capable of. Both teams scoring higher than in qualification round. The trio earned the highest artistry mark in the category, placing a very credible 5th overall in their first international competition. Our mixed pair put on a show and scored the second highest mark, finishing overall in a superb 3rd place.
